Welcome
Scott and I live in the mid-west where the ideal answer to "how are you doing?" is "fine" and then you move on to talk about the weather. Important topics aren't discussed, so many things get swept under a rug to be ignored for as long as possible. Our marriage fit right in to this description. Our Facebook posts painted a picture of a lovely life but lurking underneath was discontent, unhappiness and adultery. Jesus stepped in to our life and saved us and our marriage. We experienced such a radical change that we want to talk about what happened and share the miracle we experienced.
Our desire is to discuss topics such as marriage, infidelity, forgiveness, our relationship with God and our journey to find our true identities and purpose in this crazy life! We also would like to help struggling marriages or couples who are just getting started. Our goal is to eventually create an event space for marriage retreats or crisis intervention.

Meet Scott and Becky
Scott and I have been married since 2002. We put our marriage into two categories - Marriage 1 - without Jesus (from 2002- June 13, 2016) and Marriage 2 - with Jesus (June 13, 2016 until present). This is to show the crazy contrast between the two!

Facts about Scott
Scott is an engineer and sees the world in detail. His superpower is to make everything as efficient as possible. He loves Jesus, his family, the Kansas City Chiefs and BBQ in that order. He works in IT but is super athletic and was a walk on to the University of Illinois Football team. Scott is super handy and can build or fix just about anything. Being an extrovert, he does not know a stranger and loves to talk to people about Jesus. Being around people charges Scott's battery. Spiritually, Scott has the gift of remembering scripture. He is a natural leader and enjoys helping men seek Godliness through discipleship. He enjoys studying about creation, flood geology and scientific evidence that points people to God.

Facts about Becky
Becky sees the world from a big picture perspective. Her superpower is listening as she often has people spill their life story to her in the grocery line. She loves coffee, music, books, football (Go Chiefs!) and spending time with family. She has a heart for hurting people and has a Mental Health 1st Responder Certificate and leads a group called New Hope for people struggling with trauma and grief. Being around groups of people drains Becky's battery. Spiritually, Becky has the gift of discernment and faith and is learning the importance of a radical prayer life. She enjoys coaching and teaching people how to grow in their identity and power as people who follow Christ.

Together we work to live out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission or as we lovingly call them - GC Squared. Basically our goal is to love God, love People and go and tell people about Jesus.

Great Commandment - Matthew 22:36-40 - “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Great Commission - Matthew 28:18-20 - Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
